Kelsey - From One Busy Mind to the Next

I had the pleasure of meeting Kelsey at our first Heart and Soul event earlier this year. She attended the Prom[p]t Journal Circle I was facilitating. I remember her enthusiasm for journaling, wellness and holistic living. After the journal circle Kelsey approached me with a great deal of curiosity, she wondered how she could integrate journal circles and meditation into her community and current business ventures. I’m pleased to introduce Kelsey, an inspired and dedicated journaler and wellness entrepreneur. She is passionate about her family, her community and is committed to personal and spiritual growth. Thank you Kelsey, for guest blogging this month!

From one busy mind to the next, I can say that journaling has made such a great impact for me. Being a spouse, mom, business owner and running a farm can leave you thinking about all the to-dos and leave little time to think about ourselves. I’ve learned that journaling can help us spit out all the thoughts to clear the mind and feel more at peace as well as help us work through tough times. It helps us find gratitude again for what we already have in life.

When I first started journaling I would write just what was on my mind and 5 things that I was grateful for. It was great! But I knew there was something missing. Using Prom[p]t journaling cards for the first time was MAGICAL! Truly! The cards came into my life when I was at my low point in health. I was feeling stressed, overworked and not happy with how I felt physically.

When attending my first journaling circle I got the card “A truth I will not negotiate is….” It shook me. My body knew that the truth was my health. For so long life and my mind got in the way of what my body knew. The thing is, having journaling prompt cards helps you dive deeper into your truths; which is something that the busy mind may not dive into. After doing journaling two times a day over the last month, I feel I am more at “truth” with myself. I feel less stress. I am able to let out all my thoughts, which is a great resource before bedtime! And I have dove deeper into my truth for myself. All thanks to Prom[p]t! If you haven’t added journaling cards to your journaling practice I highly recommend it. This is a great way to dive deeper into your healing journey and find truth in life again.

Kelsey
