Prom[p]t Reflection

I’m lucky to have met Diane last summer when Prom[p]t was still a prototype. She provided valuable insight as we were creating the final product. Her energy and excitement about the product and its application was contagious. She couldn’t wait for the product to launch and she was one of the first people to purchase the product (actually her son bought it for her!) I thought it only fitting to ask her to share her experience.  Thank you so much Diane, we appreciate you immensely! Here’s what Diane has to say about her experience:

The Prom[p]t Journaling cards are thought provoking and soul searching. This process has allowed me an awareness of some negative self talk and behaviors I need to let go of.  Prom[p]t Journaling, (by connecting me to my inner spiritual guide) has helped me clarify strengths and set new intentions.

One of the beautiful “side effects” I have found has been the ability to meditate. After trying many methods to meditate, I found that at the end of the day looking at the Prom[p]t card one more time allows me to release the journaling I’ve done and open for more guidance if needed. Then with a calm mind I am able to meditate.  Prom[p]t is a powerful tool used to make a daily commitment to awareness, healing and growth.

Specifically, when utilizing the product I find rather than thinking about an event, I am able to feel the emotions attached to the event.  By feeling the emotions first, I can begin to realize how skewed my thinking is/was about the event. For example, early in life I had experienced a  trauma I was too young to process. Through journaling, my thinking is being opened up to consider other people’s part in the hurt and look at the event with consideration of what the other person was going through at that time. It changes emotions and perspectives of the event, which is part of the healing and has allowed me to forgive and remove the blame and shame I put on myself.

Because I have been able to work through that trauma in this way, I feel I am able to begin looking at the grief and loss I experienced again.  Not so long ago, my husband and I lost 4 family members in less than 14 months time. While we have done well processing our feelings, I’m feeling like there’s some more work I could do to bring more peace and comfort into my life.

Another really positive experience I’ve had with Prom[p]t is the reflection on life, being able to appreciate self….being able to see I have self worth and that many of the accomplishments in my life are because I had self worth then too.

Always Hope,

Diane
