September 2019 Conferences

As Andrea & Co makes its way into the health and wellness industry, we are looking for ways to meet others who, like us, are interested in personal growth.  In today’s businesses, much emphasis is placed on connecting through social media. And while we recognize the importance of an online business presence, we have not forgotten the value of meeting face to face. With this in mind, Prom[p]t participated in two conferences in September, the Women and Spirituality Conference in Rochester, MN and the Addiction and Faith Conference in Bloomington, MN.

Attending these two conferences, both as a vendor and as a presenter, provided us opportunities to connect with fellow business owners involved in helping others. We were introduced to new modalities in self-care. In addition, we grew our network, thus enabling us to serve you better. Conferences are a natural learning environment filled with occasions to expand our knowledge base and understanding.   We enjoyed special guest speakers, breakout sessions and social interaction.

As a vendor, we had the opportunity to share the benefits of journaling with Prom[p]t.  And as a presenter, we facilitated the Prom[p]t journaling process with small intimate groups.

The Women and Spirituality Conference began 38 years ago as a partnership between the Mankato State University Departments of Religious Studies & Women’s Studies and the United Christian Campus Center. The goal of the yearly 3-day conference is to “provide a supportive and nurturing setting for a dialogue of caring and mutual respect between and among people from many spiritual and religious traditions.”  Sara facilitated a 90 minute breakout session guiding participants through a practice using prompts from our Prom[p]t journaling set.

This year was the second Addiction and Faith Conference organized by the Fellowship of Recovering Lutheran Clergy and the Recovering Ministries of the Episcopal Church.  This conference began as a concerted effort to raise awareness of the crisis of addiction and how people of faith and caregivers of those in recovery can unite to help address the issues related to the impact of addiction on families and communities.  Andrea facilitated journaling as a Spiritual Practice. Melissa joined us in Bloomington and networked with various vendors and conference participants, engaging in conversations around the benefits of journaling in recovery.

We were thrilled to share our Prom[p]t journaling set with conference size audiences.  Attending the conferences as both vendors and presenters and meeting people face to face allowed us to develop a greater understanding of what you, our customers, need and desire.   We look forward to integrating feedback that was shared with us.

Love,

Andrea & Co
